I would also add that it is extremely important to back up your blog regularly (I back up once a week -it will depend on how often you add content to it). If you have a website built with WordPress, you should back it up whenever you change the content.

It is also very important to back up your wordpress site before you perform any installations or updates like those mentioned in the article. That way, if anything goes wrong, you can just remove the site and re-install/upload the backed up version.
